  21. ENVI-MAN v1.03 r04/30/93 Micrometric <ASP>: A small assembly language Environ-
  22. ment utility that accomplishes two major function. The first is the ability to
  23. display all the current environment strings and data about the environment such
  24. as the location, size and space availability of the Master environment. The
  25. second function is to let a batch file know how much environment space is cur-
  26. rently available and to provide a graceful exit if there is not enough. The
  27. routine also shows that, under certain circumstances, the size of the master
  28. environment can be expanded with no change being made to the CONFIG.SYS file.

  41. IBM PC, XT, AT or true compatibles operating with PC/MS-DOS, version 2.0 or
  42. later, any monitor. It has been tested with PC/MS-DOS versions 3.0-5.0.

  46.   with its length. Summary data on the Master environment size, current envi-
  47.   ronment size and available environment space is also shown.

  49.   reported by ERRORLEVEL.
  50. * Sets the ERRORLEVEL variable to the available environment space for use in
  51.   testing within batch files.

  76. ENVI-MAN is being distributed as SHAREWARE. The SHAREWARE concept allows users
  77. to examine a program on a trial basis, at no (or minimal) charge, before pur-
  78. chasing it. In addition, by decreasing marketing costs, professional quality
  79. software may be distributed for a fraction of the cost of a comparable commer-
  80. cial product. Regardless of whether you register the program, please help dis-
  81. tribute ENVI-MAN by sharing unmodified copies of it and its files with others
  82. on a private non-commercial basis. Liability is limited to replacing the soft-
  83. ware for registered users. There is no liability for any damage or loss caused
  84. by this software, directly or indirectly.

  86. You are hereby granted the right to use the ENVI-MAN program for a thirty (30)
  87. day evaluation period. If you find ENVI-MAN of value, and continue to use it
  88. after this evaluation period, YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR PROGRAM USE. Please see
  89. the file, ENVI-MAN.ORD, for registration information. After the thirty day
  90. evaluation license period, if you decide not to register the program, PLEASE
  91. REMOVE THE PROGRAM AND ALL OF ITS FILES FROM YOUR SYSTEM.

  93. ╒╡ SPECIAL INSTALLATION INFORMATION ╞═════════════════════════════════════════╕
  94. 1.  To install the unregistered shareware version normally supplied on disk-
  95.     ette, copy the self extracting file "ENVI@vvv.EXE" (vvv is the version) to
  96.     either a separate directory - such as "EM" - or a directory that is refer-
  97.     enced in the path statement. At the DOS prompt, change to this drive-direc-
  98.     tory, type "ENVI@vvv" and press ENTER.
  99. 2.  To install the unregistered shareware version downloaded from a BBS, unpack
  100.     the file "ENVI@vvv.ZIP" (vvv is the version) to either a separate directory
  101.     - such as "EM" - or a directory that is referenced in the path statement. 
  102. 3.  To install and "BRAND" the registered version, run the supplied program
  103.     "INSTALL".
  104. 4.  To run the program, change to the drive-directory on which it is located
  105.     (only if it isn't on a path referenced directory), type "ENVI-MAN" and
  106.     press ENTER.
